Dance Shack Terms & Conditions - 2025


PLEASE READ CAREFULLY


A. Fees

  1. All classes are payable via a monthly membership plan, with charges divided into 12 equal payments throughout the year. In certain cases, termly payment arrangements may be possible upon discussion with the admissions team.

  2. Discounts on fees are available for students attending multiple classes or for siblings attending Dance Shack.

  3. Additional chargeable items, such as yearly show fees, will be added to the first applicable monthly payment, with prior notice provided.

  4. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance due to sickness, holidays, or other reasons.

  5. If a class is cancelled due to teacher illness, health epidemics, or other unforeseen circumstances, Dance Shack will endeavour to provide a substitute teacher or reschedule the class. Rescheduled classes may occur on a different day or time, and term dates may be extended. Refunds will not be given in these circumstances.

  6. In cases of class cancellations due to exceptional weather, parents will be informed as early as possible via email and/or text. No refunds will be issued.

  7. By enrolling, you agree to a rolling course of Dance Shack classes. After the first term, your child will automatically be enrolled in subsequent terms. A six-week written notice via email or payment in lieu is required to withdraw from classes. This notice period does not apply during or at the end of your child’s first term.

  8. Dance Shack reserves the right to amend timetables with prior notice.

  9. At least six weeks' notice will be provided for any fee increases.


B. Classes

  1. Students must arrive promptly, dressed appropriately, and attend classes regularly.

  2. Please inform the teacher of any injuries prior to class.

  3. Physical contact may be necessary to demonstrate or correct movements. Teachers will seek the child’s consent and explain the purpose of any contact.

  4. Students should bring water bottles to class to stay hydrated during physical activity.

  5. Disruptive behaviour that detracts from the learning environment is unacceptable. Students who disrupt classes may be asked to leave. Dance Shack reserves the right to refuse entry to any class at its discretion.


C. Uniform

  1. Dance Shack uniforms can be purchased through the school.

  2. Uniforms are not mandatory during the first term but are expected from the second term onward.


D. Photography/Video

  1. By enrolling your child, you grant Dance Shack permission to use images or video footage of your child for:

  • Website representation (www.danceshack.co.uk).

  • Promotional purposes, including newsletters, leaflets, posters, banners, and social media.

  • General marketing for the school.

  1. No names will be published with any images.

  2. If you do not wish to agree to this clause or wish for photos to be removed, please contact us.

  3. Parents are not permitted to take photographs or videos inside Dance Shack studios.


E. Data Protection

  1. Dance Shack holds personal information about students to manage operations as a dance education and training organization. This includes contact details provided by you.

  2. Dance Shack will not disclose personal information to third parties unless required by law or with your permission. Our GDPR statement is available upon request and on our website (www.danceshack.co.uk).

F. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

  1. Dance Shack reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, providing one term’s notice of any changes.

G. Agreement to Terms and Conditions

  1. By enrolling your child in Dance Shack classes, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
